Children & Youth Ministry: A program that provides spiritual nurturing for Christian living. The third Sunday of every month is children and youth Sunday giving them the opportunity to learn the liturgy and worship of the church. They do the readings, prayers, ushering, offering collection, singing, and serving on the altar. Other activities include Teens Encounter Christ (TEC), Diocesan youth events, and other interactive programs.
Sunday school meets at 11 am using the Living the Good News curriculum, which is lectionary based. At 11:45 am, the children and youth join their parents during the communion and closing prayers. The Sunday school provides Christian nurturing and instructions to the children as they enter into life.
Confirmation: the rite in which the baptized return to express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. It is required that those to be confirmed have been baptized, sufficiently instructed in the Christian faith, penitent for their sins, and are ready to affirm their confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (BCP. P. 860).
Adult Faith Formation: Adults meet every Wednesday from 11 am to 1pm to study the Bible by books: authorship, setting, date, and occasion, style, composition, genre, and conclusion.
